Handwoven Storage Basket

This beautiful basket is handwoven by women artisans in Ngaye, Senegal out of millet grass and thin strips of recycled plastic which are used to create these stunning and colourful design patterns. It can be used as storage for laundry, toys, books, towels and throws and stylish enough to use as a decorative item in any room in your home. All baskets are very well made and will last you many years while still maintaining their beauty.

Basket weaving is one of the most common artisan crafts in Senegal which provides a sustainable source of income to the women weavers and their communities.
